SPECIAL CLASSES...

Special Classes refer to classes specific to a particular/specialized area to enhance students' abilities, not typical classes where the Syllabus is a priority with an emphasis on progression and advancement.

These classes include:

SPECIFIC KATA, SPECIFIC PRE-ARRANGED & BUNKAI, and KUMITE CLASSES

These classes will be advised of before that class. Attendance must be confirmed Before the Class.

A surcharge of $16.50 will apply to these classes which must be paid before the Class to reserve place.

In many cases, these classes will be restricted to the number of students on the mat (tatami) to ensure students get the most out of the class/classes.

Normal membership does not cover these special classes.

The Special Classes may also cover the following:

Weapons Awareness Classes,

Ground Awareness Classes,

Tournament Classes,

Open Nights, Etc....

ADDITIONALLY...

Women's Self Defence Classes/Courses/Seminars

Anti-Bullying Awareness Classes/Courses/Seminars

Ground Awareness Seminars,

For information on this, please speak with Kyoshi Adrian Delia

GRADINGS...

When and as required, Gradings are held on Sundays typically and may occur on a Saturday afternoon (after regular classes) if needed/required.

Gradings are a Formal Event and differs from classes.

Grading Fees are applicable for those required to attempt Grade/Rank Up. The Grading Fees applicable are visible at our dojo and are based on the duration of the Grading, hence the varied amounts, and are dependent on the level attempting.

To be eligible for Gradings, students must first receive their pre-grading criteria checks and been awarded their 5 belt tags confirming the grading criteria are known/acquired.

Membership Fees must be up-to-date if attempting Grading.

Coloured Belts (9th Kyu and above) must ensure they have their Protective Gear for Kumite if/when Grading.

Scheduled Gradings are noted on our Yearly Calendar, which are prepared prior to the first classes of the year.

The dates nominated are guidelines and if there is a need to reschedule or add or delete a Grading Date, NGK reserves the right to amend these dates. Notice of upcoming Grtadings will always be noted at the dojo and on our social media platforms.
